Drawbridge Dock Levellers in steel or Aluminium
The "drawbridge" type dock leveller is ideal for the outside ramp
with overhead canopy, for side or end loading, which is not always possible
with stationary dock levellers surrounded by a dock shelter or seal.
"Drawbridge" dock levellers are easily operated manually or
hydraulically at the touch of a button and can be supplied either as fixed or
sliding. The sliding levellers glide along a special guide rail on the front
edge of the ramp to a position exactly behind the vehicle to form a precisely
placed bridge between the ramp and lorry bed, either above or below ramp level.
The fixed levellers are installed at the point where a vehicle will always be
parked. There is a choice of either a solid steel or aluminium segmented lip
for perfect adjustment to sloping lorry beds. Aluminium and galvanised versions
of the "drawbridge" leveller have been specially developed for use in
wet areas.
